Aeronautical Data Engineer - Internship


About the internship:

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Develop automated extraction of aeronautical data from worldwide AIP/eAIP sources.
2. Parse HTML, XML, AIXM, PDF, CSV and API-based data.
3. Extract airports, runways, navaids, waypoints, airways, airspace, frequencies and other operational data.
4. Normalize data into a common structured database.
5. Implement data validation, source traceability and AIRAC change detection.
6. Support PostgreSQL/PostGIS integration and APIs

  1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
  2. can start the internship between 11th Oct'26 and 15th Nov'26
  3. are available for duration of 6 months
  4. are from Delhi only
  5. have relevant skills and interests
  6. * Women wanting to start/restart their career can also apply.
  7. are Computer Science Engineering students


Stipend:

INR₹ 20,000 - 35,000 /month

Skills required:

Python, XML, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, JSON, REST API, GIS, Data Extraction and BeautifulSoup

Other Requirements:

  1. 1. Student/final-year student in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, GIS or similar.
  2. 2. Strong Python skills.
  3. 3. Experience with web scraping, XML/HTML parsing and REST APIs.
  4. 4. Good understanding of SQL and structured data.
  5. 5. GIS/geospatial experience is an advantage.
  6. 6. Knowledge of AIXM, ARINC 424 or aviation data is a strong advantage but not required
  7. Objective: Build a scalable AIP Data Pipeline capable of converting heterogeneous worldwide aeronautical publications into reliable, standardized data
