Admissions & Enrollment Counselor – US (Remote, Night Shift)

About Skillvelop:

Skillvelop is an early-stage education company building technology-enabled learning services for students and families in global markets. We are expanding in the US and Canada, starting with online math tutoring for school students.

We are hiring an Admissions & Enrollment Counselor to reach out to parents, introduce our programs, and guide families from first contact to enrollment.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, individual contributor, target-driven sales role. You will own the full enrollment journey:

Outreach → Free Discovery Call → Trial Class with a Math Tutor → Follow-up → Enrollment

You will reach parents through calls, email and WhatsApp, invite them to a free discovery call, understand their child's needs, schedule a trial class with one of our math tutors, and follow up to convert interested families into paying customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Outreach and lead generation

  • Make outbound calls to parents from approved lead lists.
  • Send personalized outreach and follow-up emails.
  • Engage with parents on WhatsApp using approved templates and only where contact is permitted.
  • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries.

Discovery calls and trial classes

  • Invite parents to a free discovery call and run it professionally.
  • Understand the child's grade, learning gaps, goals and schedule.
  • Explain Skillvelop's math tutoring program clearly and honestly.
  • Schedule trial classes with the assigned math tutor, and confirm the time (with time-zone accuracy) with both the parent and tutor.
  • Send reminders to reduce no-shows.

Conversion and follow-up

  • Follow up after every trial class to gather feedback and address questions.
  • Handle objections around price, schedule, value and commitment.
  • Convert qualified families into paying customers.
  • Hand over enrolled families smoothly to the academic/operations team.

Pipeline and reporting

  • Log every call, email, message and outcome in the CRM or tracker the same day.
  • Manage your daily pipeline and follow-ups independently.
  • Share daily activity reports and weekly performance updates with the Founder & CEO.

Performance Expectations

You will be measured on clear, trackable metrics, including:

  • Outreach activity: 80–100 calls/day, including calls and structured follow-ups plus email and WhatsApp follow-ups
  • Discovery calls booked and completed: 15-20/week
  • Trial classes scheduled and attended: 8-12/week
  • Trial-to-enrollment conversion: Above 30%
  • Monthly enrollments: initial benchmark 8-12/month (Conversion benchmarks reviewed after the first 30-60 days using actual Skillvelop data)
  • CRM accuracy and timely updates

Targets will be discussed during onboarding and reviewed regularly.

Compliance and Ethics

  • Follow approved scripts, templates and contact lists.
  • Respect US and Canadian outreach rules, including Do-Not-Call requests, email opt-outs and WhatsApp consent requirements.
  • Never make false promises about results, pricing or guarantees.
  • Report activity and outcomes accurately. Misreporting will be treated as a serious breach.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years in admissions, EdTech sales, inside sales, telesales or consumer sales.
  • Experience with US or Canadian customers is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with a clear, confident phone presence.
  • Comfortable with calling, rejection and daily targets.
  • Strong objection-handling, follow-up and relationship-building skills.
  • Organized and self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, Google Workspace, spreadsheets and WhatsApp Business.
  • A professional, honest and parent-first approach to sales.

Work-from-Home Requirements

  • Reliable laptop or desktop
  • Stable high-speed internet, plus backup connectivity
  • Noise-cancelling headset
  • Quiet, professional workspace
  • Full availability during assigned US-aligned hours

Why Join Skillvelop?

  • Work remotely from India with an international market.
  • Work directly with the Founder.
  • Own and help build a customer-facing sales function from the ground up.
  • Grow with an early-stage education business.

Selection Process

  • Resume shortlisting
  • Communication screening call
  • Mock call and discovery-call role-play
  • Objection-handling assessment
  • Final discussion with the Founder
