ROLE_DESCRIPTION -
Establishment of a future-ready, scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud environment for strategic business applications. The role will be responsible for defining the target AWS architecture and building the cloud foundation required to seamlessly support future business-function migrations, application integrations, high-volume data loads, and workload expansion.
The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, database, security, network, and business teams to ensure the AWS environment is designed with sufficient scalability, availability, performance, security, automation, observability, and disaster-recovery capabilities to support current and future business requirements.

  • Own and drive end-to-end capacity management for the AWS cloud environment, ensuring infrastructure is appropriately sized for current and future business demand.
    Conduct capacity planning based on current and projected business volumes.
    Ensure architecture can be dynamically scaled based on application demand.
    Establish performance baselines before migration and validate performance following migration.
    Design resilient architectures to eliminate or minimize single points of failure.
    Define and validate RTO/RPO requirements for business-critical applications.
    Plan and coordinate HA/DR testing to validate business continuity.
    Identify potential capacity or performance bottlenecks proactively
    Establish baseline utilization across compute, memory, storage, database, network, and application layers and continuously track consumption against defined thresholds.
    Perform application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness and migration dependencies.
    Define appropriate migration approaches including rehost, replatform, refactor, and modernization based on application requirements
    Perform proactive capacity assessments before major business-function migrations, application onboarding, integrations, and bulk data-load activities.
    Define appropriate headroom and scalability requirements to accommodate peak business volumes and unexpected demand.
    Evaluate infrastructure requirements for peak, seasonal, batch, and high-volume data-processing workloads
    Design cloud infrastructure to support high-volume data migration, integration processing, API traffic, and application-to-application communication.
    Assess projected data volumes, transaction growth, peak utilization, and integration requirements.
    Perform capacity planning and recommend appropriate AWS services and architecture patterns.
    Establish scalable data ingestion and processing capabilities to accommodate future integration requirements.
    Work with application and data teams to ensure the environment can support bulk data loads without negatively impacting critical business workloads.
    Define mechanisms for performance benchmarking, load testing, monitoring, and capacity validation before major migration event
